I’ve said it before, and will continue to say it until proven otherwise, “Teamwork makes the dream work.” Especially in this time of digital transformation, it is mission critical to create an ecosystem of partners to drive innovation to not only create robust solutions fit for today, but also work to build a vision for the network of tomorrow.

Typically, awards will single out a firm for its dedication and developments, but this week VeloCloud and four of its partners were named 2017 INTERNET TELEPHONY SD-WAN Excellence Award winners. Coincidence? I think not.

While VeloCloud was honored for its unique architecture and the performance for its SD-WAN, Granite Telcommunications, MegaPath (News - Alert), MetTel and Windstream joined the software-defined networking firm in the winners’ circle.

“Congratulations to VeloCloud and its four partners for receiving 2017 INTERNET TELEPHONY SD-WAN Excellence Awards,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC (News - Alert). “VeloCloud Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN has demonstrated true innovation and is leading the way for the Software Defined Wide Area Network. I look forward to continued excellence from VeloCloud and its partners in 2017 and beyond.”

SD-WAN is still in its infancy as a technology. Development is just scratching the surface of what the cloud and software-defined solutions are capable of. In its brief history, VeloCloud is making great strides in the delivery of increased flexibility and advanced services, which boost revenue.

From cloud application performance, to elastic transport, VeloCloud users benefit from a zero-touch deployment and operational model, while service providers leverage the multi-tenant cloud gateway architecture and the capability to support real-time application over wireless, broadband and private links.

“VeloCloud has had the honor of winning a multitude of industry awards over the years, but it’s truly rewarding to see our partners differentiate themselves and win this award with offers based on VeloCloud Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN,” said Sanjay Uppal, CEO and Co-Founder of VeloCloud. “We congratulate them all on this well-deserved recognition.”

In the highly competitive space that is SD-WAN separating from the pack can prove difficult, but VeloCloud’s strong partner network and drive toward development puts the firm in a formidable position.
